Hey y'all! Thanks for checking out this page. I wanted to reserve this to get to know me. At the bottom of the page, there is a link to a survey you can take for me to get to know you! I look forward to meeting y'all and building our class community.

A little about me:
I'm originally from Maine! I grew up there my whole life and received my undergraduate degree from the University of Maine at Farmington (go beavers)! I love ice cream, The Office, Schitts Creek, Thanksgiving foods, and snorkeling!

Some relevant background information:
I always wanted to teach ever since I was a young girl. When I got to my senior year of college (approximately 3 days until the start date), I decided to change my major from Secondary Education English to a degree I designed myself! I chose to title it "Inclusive Educational Policy with concentrations in Leadership and the Creative Arts".

An important question for you:
....Do I recommend designing your degree in 3 days? No! That's why we are here to help you over the next 5 weeks. I am so looking forward to learning about your academic interests in conjunction with your career interests you will pursue in DES365.

Alright, girl. Let's wrap it up here:
Once I secured my B.A. in 2020 (yes, at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic!), I transitioned to The University of Texas at Austin where I received my Masters of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy (hook 'em!)

Now, I finally get to pursue my passion for teaching in a way that works best for me. Thank goodness for self-designed education! Otherwise, I'd be stuck teaching The Great Gatsby (no offense to my fellow book worms).

Thankfully, I'm just here trying to help all of you figure your shit out like I had to figure out mine. I am so excited to pursue this ride with y'all. Let's start our coolest academic adventure!
